Right channel on my phones quiet after "repair"...help?

So the cable on the right side of my Sony sa-5000s was loose so I had my dad (EE guy, good at this stuff) open them up to re-soldier the wires. Everything seemed to go smoothly and they got all put together fine, but now the right channel is about half as loud as the left. There is no distortion in them whatsoever, they're just...quiet. I opened them back up and saw the wires were reversed but from what I understand that would only send them out of phase. Is my driver blown? I REALLY really hope not, I cant exactly buy a replacement pair.

Any help or answers, be them good or bad will be greatly appreciated. I just need a definitive answer I guess :/

Solder them back in correctly and see if it's fixed? Is the drier deformed in any way? Diaphragm flat and not folded or lifted away from the coil?

Okay, so I switched the wires, same thing. And from what I can tell, the driver is in perfect condition, its kind of hard to tell on these but it looks identical to the left. My dad checked the impedance and they did differ by ~1 ohm, would that make a difference?
