Where does my soundcard stand?

My source, a Clip+ (Rockboxed), stopped working a few weeks ago. Since then I have been without music. I then decided to plug my Pro 900 into my PA2V2 using my computer as a source. I use lossless files and foobar2000. I have an Asus Notebook U30Jc series laptop. It has an Intel HM 55 chipset. I am not entirely knowledgeable about computers but I am wondering if my soundcard is doing any justice. I understand that it may not be great but could someone tell me where my soundcard stands? It seems to sound okay but not as nice as the Clip+.

Any responses are appreciated! :)

If I remember correctly, PA2V2 is just an amp (no DAC), which means you're just using the onboard computer soundcard.  Listen for yourself and see if you hear any problems/noise. :)
