iPod Classic 7th Gen RMAA: Long Due

All the way from Japan. The measurements from the current iPod Classic (MC297) (Referred to -in the RMAA's- as 6G).

Output impedance is 5 Ohms. And it is the worse (or less good) measurement. I think iPhone 4 is the king of the hill in the current day and age. But iPod Classic is a really strong player.

Judge by yourselves. The folk measuring the stuff is pretty skilled (And nice).

No wonder why on an Hifiman dap review posted at Stereophile they included explanations of the designer. These numbers need lots of explanations (Especially when you take into account the asking price).

In my opinion there is no excuse for an output impedance of 18 Ohm. It does preclude the use of multi-ba iems (Unless you don't want something close to decent in the frequency response area).

wow-not sure what to make of RMAA results now

as I own a X1060 and an Iphone 4- and the Sony sounds a lot better IMO

I'm very surprised at the bass drop offon the Sony too

J3 has the same drop-off with low impedance load which is the factor to consider
