Need some advice

I have some questions and wonder if anyone could be kind enough to give me some tips. The question is the sound source. I have a thinkpad and an iPhone for all of my music. But I searched online and they told me thinkpad is very bad for music because of the poor sound card or something else, I don't know. And iPhone 4 is no good either, and I need to buy amplifier if I'm using portable device like iPhone.
So the question is, what should I do to use the my hd550 headphone to the fullest besides buying a large cd player. I'm student, don't have much money. Thank you so much in advance.

sansa Clip+, or a portable amp for the iPhone, or the Clip+ and a portable amp like the new fiio E11 or a Cmoy. You'll be happy.

Do you think that I buy a USB sound card would be a better way since it's a large headphone so I expect to listen to music on the laptop in my room? And if so, what kind of USB sound card is appropriate in terms of hd555?
Thank you so much
