Help on making my whole set up. I'm kind of new. Thanks.

Hi I am thinking about making my first major audio set up. Does anyone have tips or suggestions for me?

Main headphone - Adeze LCD-2

Secondary Headphone - Sennheiser HD 650 (Won an auction new for around $365, buying soon)

Portable Headphones

Koss PortaPro (Already own)

Koss KSC75 (Already own)

Suggestions for a higher end (up to $200) portable headphone (preferably noise cancelling)?

In ear headphones

JLabs JBud J4 (Already own)

Sennheiser IE6,7, 8 or other possible headphones that are comfortable and under $300?

DAC

Fiio E7

Amplifier

E9

Possibly E11

Suggestions for a good enough amp good enough for an LCD-2? Under $400?

DAP

Sansa Clip + (Already own)

Zune HD (Already own)

Possibly a Cowon

Possibly a hifi man HM-601 player.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Sound preferences and budget for each component? You seem to be going for everything at once, which is a common temptation when one begins the hi-fi journey but I would go one step at a time or you might just get lost in your pile of new gear :)

All you're doing is listing potential equipments and asking for help when we have no idea what your music preferences are, price budget, and if you want to do critical listening or on the go.. From what i see, you already have enough equipment for a "set up". Your LCD-2 and upcoming HD650s should go very well with your clip and zune. I do not own the HD650s yet, but i heard that it is recommended you amp it. For comfortable IEMs i own shure products and i think the SE215s are of amazing comfort and also the SE315 because of the near identical shells. Try reading some reviews of interested products because it will help with the big purchases you're about to make.

Thanks for the responses, I don't actually plan on buying them all at once but sometime within the year.

I listen to a variety of genres, from pop to techno to rock to rap.

I don't want to spend more than $1,000 excluding the LCD-2 (I plan on getting that later and last).

So mainly, what kind of amp would be recommended for the HD 650 that can also do well with the LCD-2 that's under $400 or around?

Thanks.

a good price/performance DAC AMP would be the E7 and the E11 Amp. LD mk2 is a very good tube amp.

I recommend focusing where you will do most of your quality listening. If it is the home and if sound isolation is not an issue, then the HD650s are a great start. This linked thread may be useful in finding an amp for the HD650s. However, if you really are set on getting the LCD-2s, you may want to plan on an amp that will drive those as well. While I haven't settled on my next headphone, I did opt for the Schiit Lyr when I bought my amp as it should be able to drive an ortho like the LCD-2; but it is a little over the top of your stated amp price range. There is a longish thread on amps that pair well with the LCD-2 that may be of help.
