Final HiFiMan HE-500 Review

I embedded the video below.  I'm a new reviewer (when it comes to high end audio) and am open to your thoughts.  Thanks for watching.

It takes too long to download on the remote island. I would like to see your fingers do the moon walk though. You know, a bit of entertainment on the side.

Sorry, not an easy crowd.

On the HE-6, 1000's isn't needed. Many have had great results with vintage receivers/amps costing a few hundred dollars. I will have to listen to the video again but would like a little less hand motion or maybe some additional variation in movement. Maybe introduce the hands so we are more familiar with them. They are clean though.

Sorry I stopped when you said $000's to get the HE6 sounding good

XLR1, thanks.

jamato8, I've been doing reviews for 3 years, but I've never done high-end audio before.  I'm still relatively n00b, but I'm trying! :)

@TSIG

Do you have any experience in high end audio (home or otherwise)?

Woah, looks like we have two HE-500's in Utah.

I will be waiting for and looking forward to another video review. And some day I would like to see those hands on Dancing with the Stars! There is a future there. :^)

Great review! Very thoughtful and concise. Thanks for the comments on how they sound on different types of music, something that's important (to me at least).

Wow, 400+ hours of break-in needed? If that's true, I'd prefer one on the used market pre-run-in.

Yep, the HE6s definitely need upstream equipment that warms them up for me. They are not plug+play (not that any high-end phones are).

Did you find that the HE6s improved (meaning, for me, warmer) with break-in?

Thanks again. Would like to see more of your video reviews.

Considering all the hand jesturing, there's got to be some Italian blood in those veins, and talk about great audio porn.  I'm about half high in the flank looking to dish out 9 bills!beerchug.gif

I think there should be an introduction of the cast and maybe expand to one or two more pairs of hand people.

Thanks for posting the video review of the HE 500s.

The information, reference comparisons, and personal perspective and honesty gave

me a better understanding of the product and what it does well.
