Help me choose plz

FIrst off I know the sound quality of each is highly subjective, but I am a total newb and just looking for informed opinions. 

 

I am building a new pc and I have little room for a sound card.  My only option is the Auzentech Forte, or the Xonar DG (no thanks). 

 

My other option is a Pioneer VSX 515 as an external DAC/amp getting sound from mobo toslink and using the Pioneer's SRS Trusurround

virtual surround.

 

I will be driving a pair of Ultrasone Proline 550s mostly for gaming. 

 

I want good positional audio and of course good SQ.

 

Which should I go with?  Which provides better positional audio (I'm guessing the forte)?  Will the SQ be the same?  I would guess the receiver

would sound better.

 

Price is approximately the same (I'll be buying used).  

 

Another thing I was considering is that the receiver may just be wasting too much power.  Does it draw a lot of power just when powering headphones?

Actually I have one more receiver option and that is the 

 

 

Yamaha HTR-5940

Nobody has an opinion?  Maybe I asked on the wrong forum.  I thought this was the place to go for audio questions.
