HA160D which connector for the Earsonic SM3 the H or L

Hello All,

This will be a very silly and stupid question but I'll ask it anyways.

Which socket do I put my earsonic SM3 IEMs into on the front panel of the Burson HD-160D.

There are two 1/4 sockets, one marked with a H and the other with an L.

High and Low I am guessing.

So which do I use.  Also this question applies to my set of Sennheiser HD650s when they arrive.

Cheers in advance.

I use "L" (low gain) jack for phones lower than 100 ohms, so your IEMs go to "L", otherwise you possibly can damage them.

Everything that is more than 100 Ohms, HD650 in your case, should be used in "H" (high gain) jack.

The High and Low stand for gain. With low impedance phones you will get a lot of volume on high gain, too much I would suspect. There is no difference between these two apart from gain Burson say, so it is your choice really.

The same goes for HD650s.

@earerror - indeed I will, after the proper burn in of course, whether or not that even truly makes a differencebeyersmile.png
