Hey summer is here and I really want to make some headphones because I cause too much noise when using speakers. Looking to tear drivers out of a pair of headphones (Grado SR60s are sitting there) and some of my nice headphones that my sister broke. :(
Want something like the Senn 555s (ordering one now, so I can look over it when it comes here, but brainstorming never hurt).
Probably going to make an over the ear model, the on the ear headphones make them too hot, hence me mentioning summer.
I have some water tubing pipe I got from the hardware store, I guess I could use them as the housing. Not sure if I need to block them out, will probably make them open air, and still not sure about suspending them, probably hot glue, paper, wax, or a household product that you know will have a better sound.
Not sure about what to use to cushion it, either old pads or one of your bright ideas! ;)
The band is another up as well, probably a coat hanger like one of our forum members made (forgot that fellow's name sorry haven't visited for a bit), a piece of bent can, knifing one of my many prescription bottles or plastic containers, or a plank of wood? I'm sure you DIYers can think of something smarter haha.
Probably not going to recable, unless its really that good of an idea.
