Looking for a amp. Help please~

Thread Starter

Hey guys

Sorry abt my bad english

Recently I am thinking about buying a proper full size amp (under $1000) to drive my T1, ultrasone edition 8 & Denon 500.

So that means I am looking for a amp can drive both high and low impedance headphones.

I prefer my headphones to sound warm rather than "precise and bright". So please consider warm sound the most important thing.

Any recommedations what amp should I get? I listen to almost everything, more hip hop, pop I think . And mainly from my laptop. At the moment I hv got a DAC. So should I updrate my DAC for your suggestions?

I have read lots of good things abt Woo audio 2 or Wa6 SE. Are they really good for my headphones?

Thanks in advancesmily_headphones1.gif

Regards

Jason

Mapletree amps have a warm signature and can drive low and high impedance 'phones.  Both the Ear+ HD and Super fall in your price range.

You can also consider the HA-160, or if you want to upgrade your Dac..the 160D. (priced around 1k) which is able to drive the headphone models you posted.
