Beyer T1 making popping sounds - Page 8

Man how does LA7000 comparing to D7000, is that significantly better? What's the instant difference u hear? Cuz I found d7000 already has a large sound stage

I need the huge, natural, detailed, nonfatiguing sound of the T1s and I need the ultra fun and engaging sound of the D7000. Would be wonderful if I could get both in one but the closest I've found is the DT990 and that makes my head hurt within an hour because of that treble, and the midrange is too recessed.

If you have the J$ pads and the Lawton Audio cups then the sound stage gets even wider ^_^*

Thread Starter

I've had another turnaround, I really love the T1 now and, depending on what I think of the HE500 and Ed8, will be keeping both the T1 and D7K.

As for the LA7000, I'll likely be selling it because while the T1+D7000 is something I'm willing to pay for if it's final, the T1+LA7K is just too much.

As for how it is an improvement over stock:

Bass: The majestic D7000 bass is cured of all congestion/muddiness and made extremely tight and punchy without losing any of its gargantuan quantity.

Soundstage: Simply far larger

Mids: No longer recessed, no more upper midrange congestion

Treble: No more slight sibilance or possible fatigue.

Comfort: With my J$ V3 pads, even more comfy than stock as they're real leather

Sexiness: The Purpleheart w/ deluxe finish looks even more beautiful than stock. All of the LA cups have their own charm though.

Transparency: Though the driver is unchanged, with congestion and muddiness totally gone, there is greater detail retrieval.

Keep in mind it will be different with other cups and LA does not provide J$ pads.
