Westone 4: Questions - Page 3

I just picked them up today and am sick as a dog, so I have only briefly checked them for fit and seal.  On the few songs I played, lower bass seemed a little more prominent due to better seal and the highs are better than any of the stock tips that come in the box (and equal to my modified tips), due to deeper insertion and larger bore.  Seems like they will be a complete win once I get used to inserting them faster.  And if Westone ever releases a UM4X, they'll fit those too!  Definitely a recommended investment if you love your W4's.

i've heard of that, but i haven't personally tried it. I got my custom tips from ACS for my Sennheiser ie8s and they gave me a kind of gel. It worked great the first day since i really didn't know how to put it in, but after that, i kind of got used to putting it in. I think the trick is to try putting it your ear and then rock it back and forth until you get a good seal.

Yeah I agree that the W4's sound great on iPhone alone but since I need more storage I thought I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone by also getting a different musical presentation. If I could find a player to make the soundstage more concert hall-like then the player would primarily be for my ever growing classical collection.


 



Alright well most of the time they are suctioned into my ears so I think thats real good. Not perfect, but real good.


Sounds like you are getting a good seal to me. The suction thing is what I always go with. You may try to push your IEM in by hand a little further and see if the sound changes
