4 channel headphone amp based on Cmoy

Thread Starter

I am planing on building a 4 channel headphone amp for use in a Home studio based on the Cmoy amp.

I was going to build 4 discrete cricuits housed in a single unit that also include a TLE2426 rail splitter but they would all share the same input power which would be supplied from a regulated 12v source (2amp supply)

I was also planning on using the same input source split 4 ways from the mixer that would then allow individual volume control for each of the band members.

Can anyone see any issues that may be a problem or suggest anything that would help me make this project possible?

I don't want to buy a Behringer 4 channel amp as the Cmoy sounds WAY better then anything Behringer makes.

Thanks Tom

12V for 4 cmoys is not enough.

Aside from the duplicate post over at DiyAudio, the TLE will not sink enough ground current to handle 4 headphones.  Try something like building 4x PimetaV2.

Heh, I thought this was about a balanced 4-channel cmoy, when its really about an effort to build 4cmoy's in 1 box.

Ooh, and mega-yes to the Pimeta.
