Completed the Elekit Tu-882R

Thread Starter

Hi guys, just wanted to share my build experience on the Elekit TU-882R with you on my blog, lots of photos. My quick 30 second summary.

1. Great parts and chassis work.
2. Great Manual.
3. Easy to build, nothing too difficult.

I must say, that Victor from VK Music was very helpful in the process. I made a lot of parts substitutions, including Amtrans Carbon comp, Tantalum resistors, silver mica caps and Mundorf Tin Caps. Overall, the sound is good. The bass is very well defined and controlled. Slight residual hum, which is my next todo item.

Thoroughly recommend for first time kit builders. A little on the high side of cost when compared with other similar level kits, but well worth the effort and money.

PS - My other kits include; Bottlehead Crack, Millett Hybrid, MiniMax Millett and Maple Tree Audio Ear++.
