You can "Follow" a member.  It's in the dropdown menu next to the username on any forum post.

I see.

Thanks.

Years later and I STILL don't like the new website format!

It would be nice to have a friend list again. I'll mention it as an upgrade.

What would be the difference between "follow list" and "buddy list" someone?

I want to know who is following me.

I "followed" a couple people, but don't see any indication of it.

I like the old way, it was like an address book. I didn't have to search for the EXACT way a friend's screen name was formatted if I happened to type it wrong.

Once you've "followed" somebody, a little box appears on your Profile page that lists their names, avatars and a small indicator for whether they're online or not.

Yeah, I keep hearing about how the old system was better.  I wouldn't know, tbh.

Birthdays used to be shown as well. Not very personal now, just a marketing tool. Money, money, money, money......MONEY!

Thing is, it's someone else's ball, we just participate or move on.

Nope, not seeing one.

On the "My Profile Tab" on the right pane, there are Featured Sponsor ads, below which there is a box for "Public Messages".  Below that, there's a box titled "Members you follow".
