What would you ask for in a portable player?

What are you annoyed by, the Archos 500GB tablet, the only huge-storage FLAC player? You want a FLAC player that has a high capacity but not the extra crap?

I just want to see what the community would want in a portable player.

On a further note; Is there anything missing from the current selection of portable amps, or audio gear in general?

Just trying to understand the community better!

Thanks for your input everyone.

I want a 4.5" ultra thin high res super amoled plus screen phone with, 160gb of storage, a lineout, s/pdif out, decent sound quality from the headphone out, 20+ hour battery life, a dual or quad core processor and 1gb of ram or more. biggrin.gif

But more realistically I want a fuze but slightly bigger with better battery life, a lineout, s/pdif out, rockbox support and decent sound quality.

Not sure battery life could be paired with the advanced functions, but perhaps easy ways to charge it, such as a laptop, wall charger, car charger, and have those options packaged with the item in the first place.

Line Out, S/pdif out, Rockbox Support, and the sound quality would most likely HAVE to come with that.

What size would be acceptable? Small enough to fit in your pocket? Those features would probably require a larger player.

And I bet someone would be willing to create that ultimate player, although they'd expand it to be a tablet pc these days...
