Yes, requisciat in pacem, Randy.

I suppose a lot of people here are too young to remember him, but professional wrestling had a bit of popularity in the 1980s.

Sure, wrestling is fake in that the matches are predetermined and choreographed. But there's a hell of a lot of athleticism and showmanship involved. Randy did some amazing athletic feats and really understood the show/entertainment factor. He was always fun to watch.

I read that he was a minor league pitcher for awhile. After an injury, he learned to pitch with his other arm. That's nothing less than amazing.

I'll raise a drink to Randy tonight.

A lot of people also don't know that he made an album.

If you're wondering if it's as awesome as it seems, then consider the title of one of its reviews: "AN EXISTENTIAL HEADLOCK TO PARADIGM VICTORY IN THE RAP ARENA"

RIP, Randall Mario Poffo.

Please don't read into the image too much.

Considering the character he portrayed, I don't think randy took things too seriously, so I'm sure he would appreciate an image like that and not read too much into it. biggrin.gif

This makes me long for the more innocent times of the 80s. Randy - and many others - winked at the camera and let you know they were having fun.

These days, everything is so deadly serious. Even comic book characters are treated like Hamlet. The fun has been sucked out of popular culture.
