Am I wrong, or is that HP amp with the LEDs new?

That's the prototype Icon iDO - it takes digital output from iPod/iPAD/iPhone.  The RCA out from iDO is connected to Icon Amp to drive those two speakers. Headphone and coaxial outputs are also available.

The production version is suppose to look like this https://picasaweb.google.com/nuforce.com/IconIDO#5605111284542322034

Them speakers look really tacky.

so when does this come out?

Ah, Jason does this offer "pass through" of digital signal to another DAC/AMP if desired?

(Must include DAC if going analog out to amp...)

pekingduck:  What I want to know is...can I pass a digital signal through those coaxial outputs that has not been decoded through the iDO DAC?

To put it another way, I would like the ability to take my iPhone (or anyone's iPod) at a meet and use the iDO to run a digital signal to my Benchmark DAC...letting it do the D/A conversion.

Volume shipping mid July (assuming all the Apple related certifications go smoothly).

iDO is feature packed.

Coaxial output allows you to take digital music out of iPod/iPad/iPhone to external DAC if you want to by pass iDO's DAC

Or you can just send the RCA analog out to your existing preamp.

And still enjoy quiet listening with headphones.

With 24bit/96kHz DAC and upgradable firmware (have to be upgraded at Nuforce service center, but so far this is the only such device with this feature), we hope that iDO is "future" proof.  It is not easy to make it compatible with so many versions of iOS devices and iPod.

That is all VERY exciting, Jason...THANKS for the response!

A versatile unit!   (That makes it good for home, trans-portable, meets.)

Good luck with all of the certifications and it's nice to have the sneak peek...

Forgot to mention that it can accept remote command (volume +/-, play/pause, previous/next song) from Apple's remote control. That's really feature packed!
