I wanted to see what frequency annoys you the most if there is too much of it. It would be great if you can explain why as well! biggrin.gif

I chose Midrange because we are most sensitive to that frequency and boosting that beyond the bass and treble just makes our perception of those 2 frequencies nearly non-existent.

for me its definitely the Treble. Why because it seems that a lot of artist already boost it why do we need to boost it again? To me it actually hurts to listen to highs that are too forward sounding. Especially on albums that may not be mastered the best.

Erm, any of the above? It's all about balance. Too many of any one thing and it bothers me. Doesn't matter what it is.

I agree.

Either bass or treble. There's no such thing as too much midrange. L3000.gif

Bass hands down. Well, obviously I don't want too much of anything, but if I had to pick one it would be bass. It is the most over powering thing for me, and I find it incredibly hard to focus on other frequencies with bass is really pumpin'.

Treble for me, but it'd probably be bass if my taste in music was different.

I love my treble and mid-range but to much bass drives me nuts. Especially when it shouldn't be to apparent in my music. I like treble the most.

And also a post that got deleted.

If I have to choose, I'd go with treble, if that's too much, it's not listenable

Too much of any kinda hurts to be honest. The quality is also important to me. My computer's onboard increases the bass significantly on my grados but it's just...it's just bloated and harsh.

why do people hate treble so much. i love lots of treble and average treble is not enough.

Hot treble is at best fatiguing, and at worst it is cringe-inducing.
