Shane has a point about the older model being the more fun one. Still I didn't perceive the AKG3003 as being anymore detailed than even that model. I can tell you now though the new model is very neutral and definitely more detailed than the AKG3003, at least to my ears. :P.

No matter how top tier an iem or a headphone was,

they had always been 1% fun of a great audio setup in an audio room. wink.gif

Got to try the AKG k3003 yesterday and was impressed, but not overly so. I can get it for a fantastic price but even at that, I'm not sure if I should wait for the RE-600 or just jump the gun. I would also like to hear the IE800's and know what you guys think of it in comparison.

 

The k3003 reminded me a lot of the HE-6 if I were to compare. Nowhere near as good as the HE-6 though redface.gif
