So I have a pair of m50's and I want another pair of more portable headphones

I listen to Dubstep and hip hop and then a little rock

I found the 518's on amazon in yellow for 50 idk if its legit thoug... http://www.amazon.com/AKG-518-Limited-Folding-Headphones/dp/B0028N78D4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1305748052&sr=1-2 is it?????

I want to know how good these headphones sound and how portable they really are, which includes level of isolation and comfort and especially clamp, it needs enough clamp so that i could run with it  (not saying i will.. but i might ^^)

I have the LE, remove the inner foam if you want more clarity.

how do you think of the le??

Crappy cable, more than decent sound after removing the inner foam in the ear cups. For the price no portable headphone isolates as impressive as the K518 LE does.

Don't think you can run with either the Q460 or DTX300P. Sound-wise, the Q460 and beyers are slightly different with the DTX being a mid-focused headphone and the Q460 having slightly more balance across the spectrum. The Q460 is also impressively refined and has a very polite sound. The K81 is totally different, with monster bass that draws a lot of attention to itself and a slightly darker overall sound.

oh thanks a bunch could you inform me a little more? how is the 518 without the foam insert, and is the 460 bass anemic cause on headphone.com it has the same bass as m50 (which i own) Keep in mind i do listen to rock too, just not as much as hip hop and dubstep, alsoooo hows the comfort of the 518, and how is the overall 460 sound, please compare to the m50 if possible like rating wise. Finally the 518 and k81 are different headphones, probably same driver but definetley different eq levels there was a thread on it somethwere

Without foam inserts you get more clarity in the mid- and high range. Vocals will sound more real too and the bass will sound slightly less present in the presentation.

Did you not check the link?

You can find detailed reviews of the K81, M50, and DTX 300 p in one of the threads linked in my sig. The Q460 rates pretty much the same as the K430 (also in that thread) but the sound quality is better. I'd say the sound quality of the Q460 is about halfway between the M50 and K81, maybe a little closer to the M50. I've had it for a couple of months but haven't really had a chance to sit down with it. It has a lot of strengths but it's a pretty unassuming sound signature. Definitely not as much bass as the K81 and less than the M50 as well. I don't find the K81 very comfortable but it is highly isolating and very secure in on the head unlike most small portables.

on top of the rating do you also know if there are any pads that would improve the sound isoltaion
