Audio Technica 50th Anniversary - Page 3

ATH official site does state that the W3000 uses new drivers.

I think I'll be getting the W3000, but the amp seems extremely over priced...

I agree that the W3000 ANV and the HA5000 ANV looks like rehashed vintage W2002 with an updated headband and HA2002. In fact the HA5000 looks exactly like the HA2002  with it's Urushi lacquer finish face plate. The only difference is the metal parts on the lacguer face plate of the HA2002 are anodized gold. Hope it's sound is worth the $1k+ and $2k+ USD price tag, guess I'll wait for imprressions. The CKW1000 ANV looks interesting though.

none of the anv items really grabbed my interest (wood hater ==

....I'll draw back my words, the ASM410 is interesting indeed

Another extremely expensive dynamic flagship can... I think I'll pass on this one. Given AT's past phones I can't imagine how it would compete with the HD800 and T1, let alone the much better high end planars and stats. I don't wanna be a Negative Nelly but I really fail to see anything good here. I'm sure it will sell out nonetheless.

Dam, really want these especially since I was planning on getting a W1000X or W5000 some time in the future...

Guess I'll have to wait another 10 years or hope that some money will magically appear in my wallet rolleyes.gif

10 years? You know these will be in the FS forum weeks after they are released. Wait 2 years and you can pick a used one up for half price.

Yea, but I could do that with any other headphone as well

Just thought it would be nicer if I could pick up a new pair of 50 year anniversary headphones~

Seeing has how the number is 3000, I'm going to hope it will sound closer to the L3000. I'll probably be buying one to see.

Yea well, those bright, open, bass-light flagships don't float my boat.

I will definitely be getting one. The msrp is around 100000 which is less than the msrp of the w5000. i wonder how it will compare.
