Anyone willing to sell a CMoy with bass boost?

Thread Starter

I just spent like 300 bux on a pair of nice Grado sr 325i's and hooked it up to my computer but would like to boost my sound quality cheaply. I looked at headphone amp prices and I'm not willing to drop that kind of cash right now. Is there anyone who has a used one that works and is RELIABLE? Feel free to respond or help me find someone as I watched the DIY Cmoy video and I simply don't want to undertake the project and buy new tools just to have it fail..lol

Honestly, you can get a headphone amp prebuilt on eBay for a lower price than buying one made with nice components.  If you're really interested in building a CMoy, it is actually quite easy and a great learning experience.  PM me if you really want a Cmoy, but switches alone are about $3 each, headphone jacks are about $4 total, etc.  It adds up.

You could always search Amazon for 'fiio' and test out the E3 amp.  I think the search comes out with amps at $3 plus shipping.  I've never used one of those, but its a super cheap option to pair your $300 headphones with.  Get started and work from there.
