dune prime 3.0 as a FLAC source to DAC ?

i'm lost in the jungle of hifi.

i am currently building a new setup.

getting a WA5-LE headphone amp. have a HD800 on order.

now the big question is :

if i were to use my dune prime 3.0 mediaplayer as a flac source ( all flac files are on a NAS ) can i use a DAC and then to the WOO ? so DUNE coaxial out to DAC then ANALOG to the WOO.....or can i only send ANALOG out from the DUNE to the WOO ??

i want to go to a dedicated pc setup but at the moment cashflow isn't flowing as it should be.

According to the manual, it has a coax digital output, so you can indeed connect that to a DAC that has coax digital input.  Most DACs, even if you get a PC in the future, will have enough inputs that you'll be able to connect it to your PC later anyway.

ok , but if the DUNE will send out the flac bit-perfect to the DAC , were does the decoding take place of that FLAC file ?

Or will the DUNE send the FLAC file decoded already , but then it isn't bit-perfect anymore , is it ???? or i'm i missing something completely ?
