the lt1057 are said to be analytical and a little bright . Some prefer the opa2107 so ....................

I heard that the difference is just in the power output, much higher.

If the difference is just this, I pass.

Cheers,

completely agree as on the 601 with efficient iem we are limited at 2 on 10 scale otherwise it is too high for hear's security.

and listen at most at 2 , i don't think we get the best sound.

Interesting portable DP. I am also keeping an eye on the little dot DP_1. I am happy to see more competition in the portable hifi segmentsmily_headphones1.gif

for me it's clear, no real value added to the 602. If each time hifiman changes a chip on the model and rename it, it is strategically bad as will have the impression to face toys.

Always wanted to give one of these players a shot, but for some reason I'm always scared of the build quality and price.  Like the uneasy feeling that exactly 1 year and 1 day later or however long the warranty is, it's going to crap out and be 3+ bill brick.

Probably purely psychological, which is a shame, because I always read and hear great things about the sound of these DAP's.  Oh well.  This one does look quite interesting though, hopefully if the price isn't too sky high (haha, yeah... sure), I might force myself to finally try one of these units out.

In the meantime, somebody buy it when it comes and post your impressions, heh heh...  Would definitely be interested in reading them :)

Congratulations to Fang for introducing a new product.

May your sales make you a wealthy man.

Sweet Jesus - what are they putting in the water at HiFiMan ?? With the possible exception of Fiio (!), Fang has to be the single most prolific designer in the Head-Fi world.

Hifiman players make me nervous based on my past experience with them. If this thing is priced right it could be good. But I have a feeling the appropriately named Fang will pump it out at $300+

I have hm801, hm602, and hm603 and I have some experience with hm601 as well. IMHO these are good products, when they came up with hm801 I have lots of complain with UI, storage card compatibility, etc but I think they have improved their offerings with the introduction of hm602, hm601, and now hm603. Some problems with storage card compatibility still persist, but overall products usability becomes better. I enjoy hm603 with dt1350 now.....
