I'll agree with you on 3 'types' though with a possible 4th to differentiate between screechy stuff and the slightly lower but 'power filthy' stuff.

Right my favorites are Doctor P, Flux Pavilion and Nero. Just bought the new Circus One album from iTunes that they released and it has some of my favorites on it (Big Boss, Bass Canon, Blurgh, Sweet Shop). I also like Mimosa who I think is a lesser heard of artist.

Sorry to bump an old thread but Ive got some great new tunes out of the suggestions in here!  I also wanted to mention MRK1, I was surprised not to see him in here, probably one of my favorites!

Already mentioned, but yes indeed, flux pavillion, doctor p, netsky and nero. Essential Remixes of those last two are amazing. Don't see anything wrong with Skrillex, like most of his work (Drop Dead is one of my favorites!)

Pretty Lights is amazing live. I saw him at Identity Festival in San Diego.

I actually fell into dubstep accidentally.  I picked up the new Korn album sight unseen, and found out it had a very heavy dubstep influence.  I like it.
