Whats a "fair" price ?

Thread Starter

This has been on my mind for a while now.

How do I go about putting a price thats "fair" if I was to be selling some equipment ( in perfect condition ) ? What do I need to look at first ?

1. The retail price at the current time ?

OR

2. The average price it's being sold at here on the forum ?

For example: Let's say I put up for sale something that I bought from a retailer for $300 and is in perfect condition, though here on the forum the average price that item is selling for is around $150. Isn't that a kick in the pants ? I'm loosing half of what I paid for.

I don't exactly know what my point is.

I guess I just want to see what other people on here do/think when it comes down to selling.

Looks at what they go for on ebay, and here on the forums. We all understand that you are loosing 50% of what you paid, but thats why i (as many others) buy used.
