Portable cans for bass and bass only?

I'd like to have a can just for bass that will overwhelm kids who have been listening to dre's. I do not care about care for treble or high-mids for these because I'll only be listening to my techno&dubstep playlist.

Some examples of what I will be listening to:
- Double dutch darkies - TNT
- Tritolo - TNT
- Massive - G-Force
- Some UKF Dubstep mixes

All other genres I listen to will be kept to myself with my JH163A.

Budget is >$200

I'd like for these to be portable, and easy to drive. OR if any of you guys know of a good in-ear, that's awesome as well.

I read DT770 is great but I'd like to confirm for myself to my own version of this question. Thanks!

Definitely look into some Ultrasones. I hear the HFI580 and HFI780 have tons of bass.

XB500 for 50 bones is all you need!

I'd step up to the XB 700 within the budget. But yeah...XB series.

I heard both and vastly prefer the XB500 - it's more forward which helps somewhat with the sloppy bass, it also has more EQ potential and is easier to drive from an MP3 player.

Hmmm....

XXB500 or 700 hmm... 1000?

What are the differences? More bass? More bass = <3
I want like eye-watering, teeth shattering, migraine inducing, leg-weakening cans LOLOL For reals though.

Edit: Let me add, "sub" bass. I want that deep rumbling. biggrin.gif

The XB1000 are out of your price range, but they've been getting very high praise around here for pure bass.

Hmm I can push my budget, but only if it's actually worth getting it over xb700. It's coming out of my LCD2 fund (~1400) because I decided not to get them. :P I also need to sell my stepdance and 15v energizer batterypack that goes with the stepdance...

See, I'm the other way around. I cannot stand my XB500 after listening to the XB700. Yet, I don't listen to either one now... tongue.gif

I will admit about the EQ potential though. If you seriously twist the EQ, it can come out sounding completely different, and quite nice.

XB500. XB500. XB500. Then XB700.

Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Also. I'd read some of the reviews on the XB 1000. Some people are saying they dethrone the Pro 900 which was praised by a lot of people as the EDM king for awhile.

Can't comment too much on the 1000 because I haven't heard it, but I enjoyed what I heard from the rest of the XB series.

That's my way of saying to pick the XB500 no doubt.

XB700 extends a bit deeper, but XB500 has far more slam.
