just a thought here but what USB cable are u guys using with your droid 3.1 tabs? IMO a USBOTG cable is required for host mode which a normal USB data/charging cable wont support. all 5pins in the microUSB are need & afaik pin 4(ID) needs to be shorted to pin 5(Gd) for host/embedded (ie.usbotg) device function.

make sure u use the specific USBOTG cable that came with your respective tabs/phones. as a ref, my nokia n8 will only recognize a usb audio device with the supplied USBOTG cable - the normal data/charging cable wont work.

Any news on getting a DAC to work on the Acer Iconia (or other Android Tablets)?  There are some great Android music applications (Hive Player, PowerAMP, etc), using a DAC with this would make for a great portable rig.

Not happening until ICS is available.
