For Sale:
Denon D7000 Balanced (with optional matching SE adapter)

Will Ship To: Anywhere

SOLD!

I bought these headphones new from B&H about 18 months ago.  They were reterminated to balanced by Ken at ALO using 3-pin Furetech plugs.  He turned the original ¼-inch plug into a balanced adapter with another pair of Furetech plugs.

The headphones are in excellent condition aside from a small kink in the cable (visible in the close-up photo of the cable).

Price without the adapter is $550 shipped in the continental US (buyer covering any Paypal fees).  With the adapter, the price is $625.  As a third option, I can substitute a basic but very effective Hosa adapter for $15 (total price of $565).

The headphones will come in the original Denon box.

Maaaan, would I give a kidney for one of these...

I have reason to believe you'll find a buyer soon. Well deserved bump.

Thanks for the bump, MLE. And you know -- in case anyone else is considering it -- one neglected upside of kidney trading is that it's a very nice way to lose weight.

how would you consider a balanced d7000 to a stock?

Good question. I've never heard a headphone that didn't benefit from being balanced -- in every case, there's been improved sound stage and precision. Of the headphones I've owned and balanced, I would rank the D7000s in about the middle as far as benefit.

This isn't meant to be a discussion thread, but if it helps for context, here's how I rank "benefits from being balanced": T1 (huge benefit) > AD2000 > W5000 > D7000 > LCD-2 > SA5000 > HD800 (relatively modest improvement).  This is not how I rank the headphones themselves, just how much they benefit from balanced drive (from my perspective).

I hope that helps.
