I am looking for computer speakers for around 200 dollars and under. Lower wold be better so a price around 150 would be perfect. I will be using these mainly for music. I do watch movies and play games, but rarely. I listen to hip hop, jazz, and r&b, and pop. I really like speakers with good imagine, goes pretty loud (not the most important), good, but not distorting bass, good balance, a speaker that lets you hear highs and lows or ones where you can hear the instrument clearly. I know this is a lot to ask for but what is the best speaker in the price range that would give me the most of these.
Some recommendations I have found are:
M-Audio AV40- have heard many good reviews, very little cons so far
Altec Lansing MX 6021- heard pretty good reviews but more cons than the AV40
Audioengine 2- heard good and bad reviews, heard the audioengine 5 were good, but a bit too pricey
I was wondering if anyone could help me with these speakers, give me pros and or cons or any other recommendations for around that price.
