I currently have the HD 598 for at home. SW-Xcape and Ultrasone Pro 650 for portable usage.
I was thinking of stepping it up a notch. I wanted to know what headphone I can get now,
sources are ipod touch/with e7 . MAYBE getting the J3 soon. laptop with e7 and e9.
Music electronic, dubstep,All kind of Rock, little bit of rap.
Budget wise is going to be in the 300$ area that is all.
Looking for closed.

if you like the pro650, why not just upgrade to the pro900's? i think it'll be perfect for you. honestly i've never listened to them, but i have the pro750s and i'm just assuming based on the sound sig of my 750's and what i've read about the 900's

If you plan to buy the E9, it would make a decent source for the Denon D2000's.

Would it sound good with the E7 being used for going out with?
One of the reason why I didnt get the 2000 was it cable lenght.

The D2000's are better for home listening. Is portability important?

Oh right, have you heard about the Aiaiai Tma1's? they have nice isolation with strong and clean bass. (if you want to try something different than ultrasone)

I heard of them, and I believe my local Headphone shop has them.
I'll be taking a look at them this weekend.

Here's a suggestion, I ordered the Beyerdynamic DT 1350 recently and I'm waiting for them to be delivered. According to our fearless head fi leader Jude the DT 1350's bring a lot to the table. Come join me on the bandwagon and see if they're your cup of tea.

Here's a link to what DigitalFreak mentioned about the DT 1350 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aahpv0_DDFE.
