I'd recommend the JDSLabs cMoy amp for the beginning. Haven't heard it personally but based on other people's opinion, it seems to be good value for the price.

Thanks for the advice man. Can I know what you are listening to? And do you know which mp3 player has the best sound quality? Besides the Hifiman?

My current setup is as followed: iPhone 4 -> CypherLabs Algorythm Solo -> ALO Rx Mk II -> HD25-1 II

My other gear is in my profile.

 

Regarding your second question I'm afraid I'm not qualified to answer this.

There are tons of DAP's out there and I have only listened to a small fraction of them.

 

Though, if you tell me your requirements (i.e. budget, size, supported files, storage, (rockbox), etc), I might be able to help you narrow it down to a handful of DAP's that would be worth looking at.

 

I'm not the best guy to ask when it comes to DAP's though. tongue.gif
