I've been wanting to get a pair of these old phones for quite a while now, but also to switch the drivers with some new ones. I just cant find any info on the diameter of the drivers in the SE L40 which i obviously need to know to find new ones. I thought of replacing them with the drivers from the AIAIAI tma-1 or sennheiser hd25 since they should sound quite well.
Also, if anyone know a good deal for a pair of pristine Pioneer SE L40 s I'd be happy to hear from you :)
Then to the recabling department, its seems impossible to find an illustrated guide to making a 8 wired braided cable (which i'll use for these). Anyone know a good one?
