This may seem like a silly question, but I am not well-informed when it comes to amps. I've been reading through threads a lot but I still feel not well-informed enough to make a purchase.
Background: I've been reading a lot about the Hifiman HE4 and I'm quite convinced that I will purchase it soon. I currently own a pair of M-Audio Bx5a's and I have a uDac-2 coming from my laptop. I use foobar.
It seems like the HE4/EF5 combo is a great deal, but in the future I may want to get a pair of speakers that need to be amped. I don't know if it is wise to get speaker amps instead. I don't really know if this would be beneficial in any way, but it seems like it may be more future-proof.
Any amp advice at all would be much appreciated! Thank you!
