Recabling Denon AH-1001D and Koss Portapro

Thread Starter

Hello everyone, i ve been looking on ebay for some good quality not expensive cable so i can revable a denon AH-D1001 and a Koss portapro (i know they have life time guarantee but the cable snapped, and i dont think thats covered by it).

What i have in mind is to buy some Neutrik Lequn 3.5mm Plug Gold,1/8 braided sleeves, heat shrink and Mogami Mini Quad 2893 wire.

Do you think its ok to use this formula for the Koss Portapro?

This is going to be my first time doing custom cables for headphones.

Thank you guys for your opinions and thoughts.

Regards

I'm not sure how big the Mogami cables are, but you should be fine with them. I ran Starquad mini on my PortaPros, but the only problem was the wires didn't fit through the notch where the cables are soldered (You'll know what I mean when you pull off the cap thing on the drivers).
