External sound card for Samsung Galaxy S II ?

There is different voices on the net, some say S2 have Wolfson DAC which is supposed to be good, but a swedish review I did read today suggest it has Yamaha YMU818B, this does worry me deeply because I did intend to use this as my primary media player...on paper the Yamaha chip is worse...from what I have been reading.

I wonder is there any external soundcard through MHL which I can use with this sound card ?

I need good sound card since I am going to use beyerdynamic DT1350 headphones.

Please let me know what solution is best  thank you.

Aparently the S has Wolfson, while the S2 has Yamaha, settles it for me then, S it is.

S2 will also have the Wolfson chip..which have been confirmed by the wolfson themselves (look at their website)...so there will most likely be two different versions..which is very confusing.... I did pre order mine from sweden..but maybe..I should be wise and cancel the order and make sure I get the Wolfson version.

"Samsung selected Wolfson Audio Hubs for multiple new Galaxy S models, including the Google Nexus S, its Wave 2 smartphone platform, one of its next generation Galaxy S2 platforms, its latest tablet PC products and its 4G LTE phone, the Galaxy S Vibrant "

bump. I have a question. If I use a USB Host OTG Cable adapter, is it possible to use an external usb sound card on the SGS2?

You can try, but I do not think it will work. Android 4.0 IceCream Sandwich will officially introduce USB DAC support. Wait for ICS and you will be able to use an external DAC as long as you provide it with some power externally.

It has officially been confirmed. I do not have a link for you though.
