PSU1 for Graham Slee Solo SRGII

Thread Starter

Hi,

Does anyone else own this amp and if so, would you say it is worth purchasing the PSU1 for it? Currently, I just have the basic power supply it comes supplied with.

£160 seems like a lot of monies for a power supply so I'm a bit reluctant if the gains are subtle at best.

Thanks

Hi, I have the SRGII with the PSU1 and compared it w/ the switching wall wart you currently have. The difference is there and easy to discern but it is not night and day. One thing you can do to improve the performance of you switching wall wart is to ground the SRGII using the grounding post on the back.

You could be on the look out for an used PSU1 which although not common do come up for sale. Since you are in the UK any chance you could contact Graham via his forum and ask him for a test sample to compare the two power supplies? Or you could go to a local dealer to compare them. Good luck.
