Uh...is it safe to travel to Memphis?

Hey guys,

 

I was thinking of flying down to Memphis next week (plane arrive on Monday, depart Wednesday) for a business trip. I've never been before.

 

I noticed stuff on the news about flooding. How serious is this for a traveler? Should I not go? I've never been to Memphis, so I don't know how to interpret the reports. Is this media puffery or should I really not go?

 

Any help would be appreciated,

I was reading on Jalopnik of a man saving his rare Porsche of which only 250 of them were made, and he had the only one in yellow ever made. From what i said in there, the flooding had went down 12 feet, so you should be fine.
