Sennheiser MX 880 comments and question

Just got a set of Sennheiser MX 880 buds.  My initial impression of the sound quality is good -- a bit better than my Yuin PK2's, which I have always liked.

 

Question -- how do you tell the left and right on these?  I did not see an L or an R and there is an unbalanced shape, so clearly one is intended to be right and the other left.

Heh? They have a R and L on the strain relief. The L also has a little dot. They're hard to tell apart by that, though. Just make the cable exits point "to your back".

Thanks - I found the R and L but it's not easy for a person with ageing eyes.

I have had this problem with most buds or IEMs. So, I put a  small drop of white-out on the right bud and it makes things much easier. Usually lasts quite a long time.

Hard at first but then it's so easy, no need eyes to find the R and L, just by touching the unbalanced shape, you wont miss it ..
