Newbie buying a new mp3 player

Hi

 

Im new to this forum,

 

My name is Kev Barrass and I live in the UK, ive been reading content on this forum for a few days now as im fed up of the quality of my iPhone, so im thinking of getting a Cowon S9 or HiFiMAN 601 as my budget is about £200.

 

Are there any other portable MP3 players people would recommend that fall around my budget. Im only interested in playing music, dont want fancy features just want good quality sound.

the more threads im reading on the forum the more the options seem to increase, the Studio-V looks great aswell. Is way too much choice :(

If your need for a new MP3 player isn't urgent, I'd recommend you wait a bit for the Fiio X3.  It looks like it will be quite an interesting product when it's released...it should come out in a month or two, at the latest.

the X3 looks a nice player will be worth waiting to see some reviews on it. Its a shame there are no shops near me that stock high end portable players like these to sit and try them out with different headphones ans music :(
