Hello fellow head-fiers! It's with a heavy heart that I've decided to part with my AKG collection. I've acquired an LCD-2, HE-6, and HD 800 all in the last month, so it's time for the AKG trio to move on.
The K400 has been converted to dual entry by head-fier Fitz. These sound superb--very natural, with an excellent sound stage. They are in fantastic condition with brand new pads and will ship in their original box.
The K501 is completely stock and in fantastic condition as well. The only signs of wear are the slight fading of the gold emblem on the left edge of the headband (both K501 gold stickers remain intact).
The K601 is stock as well, and in equally fine condition, with no scratches, scrapes, etc. and has nice, full pads. It will ship with its original box.
Additionally, I have a new pair of K401/501 pads and a nearly new pair of K601 pads. Both sets will fit on all of the above models. I find the K400/501 pads to add a bit of air and transparency, while the K601 pads add a bit of heft to the low end. I've done a lot of pad swapping to find the best combination, but it really just boils down to personal preference.
