First time recable: Newbie needs help

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to head fi and the audio scene and being inspired by many photos in the "show off your cable" thread and others, i have decided to try and build my own aswell. I want to try to recable my Phiaton ms 400 headphones because the cable and plug are quite flimsy. However, as i said im a newbie (I have already read the recable guide thread). As a cable im thinking of using the Canare Starquad, however i have not yet found a website that sells this cable in europe. Could anyone help me with this? In addition, I do not know which diameter heatshrink and techflex i should use after the Y split, which size should i take?

Also, how do i connect the wires to the plug? I've got 4 wires and a standard 3 pole plug, so what do i do?

redco.com ships to europe for a good price, and the jack, the 2 grounds solder to one of the 3 poles. Then the other 2 poles are for left and right. I cant give anymore i'm afraid. Sorry.
