So after some searching around including this forum, I decided to give the AAXA P1jr pico projector a try.  I ordered it directly from www.aaxatech.com and it was shipped the same day.  After some more searching, I quickly realized that I couldn't connect the P1jr to a computer and the tech guys over at aaxatech pointed me to a VGA convertor box that I got off Amazon.

The P1jr comes with some basic accessories like tripod, ac adapter, rca adapter, and 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter.  It has an onboard media player that plays avi and mp4 videos from SD cards or USB sticks.  How to use this projector is covered in the manual so I'll share my experience connecting it to a computer instead.

Here you can see the P1jr laid out next to the convertor box.  The convertor

box comes with USB powercord and RCA to 3.5mm cable.  The VGA

cable I had a spare laying around, but you'll need one yourself.

p1jr_mirror1.jpg My laptop is setup for mirrored display so whatever is being shown on my laptop  gets projected onto the wall, pretty cool for something that wasn't suppose to do this.

So overall, I think it's an interesting gadget if you have a few bucks to spare.  Definitely not something for the hardcore enthusiast but for someone like me who enjoys variety, this was definitely an interesting purchase.
