i was surprised to see a forum dedicated to audio headgear. very much pleased to have found it.
i ordered the essence just today , it seamed the best choise for me.
nice connectivity in the back to my good old rotel's. need no 5.1 and 7.1 via optical there anyway since i get my sound from my home build speaker set and not in future plans too since my couch is parked straight against the wall anyways.
but now im looking for a headset to do some gaming, i recently bought left4dead 2 and its all good fun. those new games all seam to use 5.1 and 7.1. and my tactical awareness is not to great to start with not being a typical fps player, so any tactical advantage if there is one given by such systems would be greatly appreciated.
but im very much confused. i see software 3d for 2.0 5.1 and 7.1. hi ohms low ohms. everything has so many plusses and minusses that i seriously don't know what to get.
music is not something i will use the headset for, got my set and amplifier for my mp3's. late night movies i'd see myself do. if there is a gaming advantage to be got i'd like it very much. it must have a good clear microphone in it too. and 2 jack's if i read the essence's reviews right. i'd like to spend 75,- euro's if i'm convinced i'll get something terrific that will last many years i'll go double that. but im piss poor so a disappointing buy/dud i cannot afford.
is there someone on this forum who can give me some good advice?
