The purpose of this thread is to provide awareness for upcoming concerts so people like me who don't follow tour info of their favorite bands will not miss out, as well as sharing reactions to the concerts attended.

Having said that I recently learned that A Perfect Circle is touring for the first time in 6 years. Having never seen them I am quite excited at the opportunity. They are playing at Constitution Hall in D.C. which I've heard is a great venue.

Cheers!

I am going to see them at Red Rocks in August biggrin.gif

I'm also waiting to see who is all announced for Omaha's first ever "Red Sky Festival."  So far, the opening headliner is 311, with Sublime/Rome opening...  I love 311 (and the REAL Sublime!), but I sure hope the lineups get better...

Wow, Red Rocks!? That's awesome!!! If I was closer that would be really tempting.

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked.  I tried to get tix to see Tool there last summer, but I wasn't quick enough before it sold out.  I saw APC in 2003, but I have never been to Red Rocks... Heard good things, though!

They are also going to be playing a festival in KC, the first weekend in August.  The Flaming Lips, Black Keys, Primus, and Muse will be there too.

Supertramp in June.

I'm attending the The Sea and Cake and The Get up Kids in Iowa City.

I'm not sure how good these bands are supposed to be, but the local bar Blue Moose Tap House has the events in May and July.

Taylor Swift, September 1, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.

I'll be seeing U2 in a couple of weeks.  My Brother-in-law is a huge U2 fan and at the time when they were originally coming (last year) Lenny Kravitz was going to open up for them.  With me being a Lenny fan I decided to go.  Now The Fray will be opening up for them....BLAHHHHHH!!!!

I have already seen Peter Murphy and plan on seeing the Doobie Bros and Cowboy Junkies in the next 2 months.

The more notable concerts I've got coming up in the next three months:

May

Jason Webley

Chris Thile & Michael Daves
Man Man

Terminals (So Perucussion with Bobby Previte, Zeena Parkins, Elliott Sharp, John Medeski and Jen Shyu)

June

Marc Ribot (3 shows: Ceramic Dog / Caged Funk / y Los Postizos)
Brad Mehldau
Geri Allen and Timeline
Legendary Shack Shakers

Thinking about a couple of days at Undead Jazz Fest

Very small chance I will go see Peter Gabriel, but probably not since I just saw him in March and it's big $$

July

Alison Krauss & Union Station w/Jerry Douglas

If I keep up my current pace I'll be on track to see 70 concerts this year... eek.gif   Dunno if I can keep it up...

Wow, you are awesome!

I might be going to the Capital Jazz Festival. Hopefully it'll spark my interest in jazz more. If not the second stage has soul which I can really dig.

Cheers!

I'm looking forward to Rush, end of the month (may)

Roger Waters the Wall Live- next week.

Can't wait!

Musically the only thing on the radar so far is Rush on June 28th and Steely Dan on July 3rd. Saw Lewis Black about a month ago. He is funny.

A good friend of mine went a couple of weeks ago, told me it was very good. Exceptionally (even for Roger Water standards) good.
