Like...how? I have tried cables down w/ them extending out of the ear...but that messes up positional audio...admittedly, not a big deal as I do no gaming and music sounds fine.

They're definitely better than my old TF10's! Those bad boys tried to mate w/ my ears!

What's compressing the tips?

About straighten up ear canal nope. Tbh, i just want something that will feel like youare not wearing anything, I don't think this is possible with IEM's because they need seal and I feel sick on the vacuum they create. I love the sound so it's a shame. I've tried every single tip, the best one of me was the purple one with foam inside.

Right now I just want the most comfortable earphone ever, I dont want top tier sound if they dont come with top tier comfortability.

After a year and a half of heavy usage, the right earpiece has stopped working. It seems there is a contact problem inside the cable, close to the strain relief on the earpiece side.

I tried to open the earpiece, and the soldering inside looks OK. So I will probably need to replace the whole cable.

Has anyone done this before, and can give my some recommendations?

Thanks.

Have you tried these?

I have tried the Sony Hybrid tips and everything that came w/ the GR-07's. These are the ONLY tips that work for me.

http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/ultimate-headphone-guide-articles-how-insert-ear-monitors another guy mentioned this but I will put this here again. Here you can see the correct way to compress foam tips.

And about straighten up the ear canal, just pull your ear up.

If you can not get a confortable fit you might need to go trough a diffent variety of tips. There is plenty of topics and comparisons about tips around here.

Forgot to mention that the best way to straighten up the ear canal is pulling the ear up from between the helix and the lobe.

Were these that much of a change? Im supossed to return them tomorrow and I dont want to spend 20 more on tips that I can't return after use. Im being lucky with this shop because they allowed me to return the IEM after usage, I dont think I could return these tips after usage..

Im just scared IEM's in general are not for me, and that I have very little tolerancy to the idea of having stuff stuck inside my ear canals blocking all air on there. Unless these feel like barely nothing compared to the ones included with the MK2 I think i'll give up.

Btw, there's this improved model of the Ts-500, have you tried them??

Also, i dont even know what size my ear canals are and and there is S M L and Mix.. im scared of buying the wrong size.

What is Mix? is it the 3 sizes? and why the price stays the same? i dont get it. Buying a pair of S is the same as buying a part of all the sizes in terms of money?

About sound quality: The review here says there is an evident boost on bass and you lack hi-top fidetly which kinda defeats the purpose:

I hope they are not similar to the foamy grey ones that come with the gr07, they made it sound muddy. Im talking about these:

haven't tried the gr07 but i have tried the comply foams they honestly disappear in your ear omg its so weird they have no irritation! =) but they do affect the sound, they tame down the treble. i had them for my klipsch s4 (which are siblant but they tamed the treble down =) i was happy for that but unfortunately its still the klipsch s4 =(

I would hate to see u stuck with these and it seems like maybe they're just not for you. I will say however that I simply cannot wear any of the other tips. Good luck!

What about the sound? Like I predicted you lose top end defitinion which is what makes this headphone great, as reported by Tom22. Even if I had super comfortability, whats the point if the sound gets deformed? It's like, you buy an analitical earphone to produce with it but you colour the sound with tips... it kind of defeats the purpose no?

i wouldnt say the sound completely changes, like what i meant was that before the klipschs were siblant/ harsh but the comply foam (its not hte foam its the inner core material) that took the edge off the top end

the i can still hear the top end of the klipschs (it didn't chop it off) lol its still its like if i can make an example if before i was driving at 60km/h (im canadian) and the comply foam is like the brake (it pulled it back like down to like 50km/h)

once again it didnt kill the entire top end, the control on the klipschs were the same (still out of control treble) but its a little more pleasant to listen to

but if you got the mk1 thats know to sound a bit siblant, it should be okay.

maybe iems aren't for you, but what i do know is that complys made iems immensely comfortable (the klipsch silicone ovals were very comfortable, for silicones) comply just took it to a whole other level

this is just imooo afterall, maybe the its edges on the gr07 housing that making it uncomfortable to you, not the part thats inside your ear canal

still debating on whether or not to save up for the gr07 or just get the gr06 right now, (or wait for the new lineup)

Any thoughts?????
