Sweet, yeah, I am missing the hard case as well.
The bass on the BE edition had too much quantity for these ears. It's exactly like when I leave the sub in my car up too high after "rockin' out." That's NOT the case w/ the MKII's. They just sound right to me. The bass is definitely there, but it doesn't take over the song and force me to eq them down. Also, the gray cable is clearly cooler than the red/gray cable...even if it turns green or blue or copper later on. :D

@ 3min 12sec, there's some bass that sort of "rumbles" too much on the BE. The vocal's are less clear because of this. The MKII's are PERFECT here. I don't feel like I'm missing any detail or warmth. Continuing on w/ the BE's through rest of the song is "difficult" for these ears.
Another track that pushs the bass into her vocals is Pink's Try. It sounds "off" and too colored w/ the BE. MKII hits it perfectly. The BE's can be "fun", but I simply cannot listen to them for long periods or wo/ getting frustrated w/ the low end emphasis.
Either I'm VERY sensitive to low end or the comply's are emphasizing the bass, but to MY ears and IMO, the MKII's have PLENTY of bass. The BE's push the bass into the mids and vocals suffer as a result. The difference isn't earth shattering, but I MUCH prefer the MKII's. They're my favs.
I can't agree more than this. It sums up my experience perfectly. The MKII's have more than enough low end to go around. It's a much more balanced, and therefore "listenable" IEM.
I got my order in today for the MKII's. The package had SHRINK WRAP ON THEM!! Absolutely flawless looking package w/ just the hard case missing. They most definitely did NOT Look used. (see below)
I know it's hard to read, but they are indeed the MK2's. I could not be happier w/ the package or the sonic presentation of the MKII's. They are everything the TF10's were not...flat so I can hear vocals. Unlike the RE0's or ER6i's, they have great low end extension. When the song calls for it, the bass is THERE, but it never takes over the song like the BE did.
Thank you all for helping me w/ this purchase. There was a time when I thought I would never be happy w/ an IEM, but these have changed all that. Thanks!
Oh yeah! The comply's that I'm using are left over from my order for the TF10's. The TS-500's.
These really muffled the vocals on the TF10, but I don't feel that way about these. Also, worth noting is that when I wear them correctly w/ the wire up and over the ear, the vocals do take a hit and get hidden a bit. But if I wear them wire down and sticking out of the ear, vocals come right back to the front! Def give that a try as you might have weird canals like mine!
