I think maybe I'll get rid of my J3 before the GR07 - the DX50 is looking pretty dang sweet for $240 or so.

I'd say audition the ASG-2 if possible. We've both had similar journeys, and I think the ASG-2 is a good step up from the 07.

I'll possibly get my hands on another GR07 soon, so I'll PM you about the differences.

i personally didnt think the ASG-2 was jaw dropping on first listen. But it grows on you FAST... like REALLY FAST. And there's really a lot to appreciate in them. I have to worry about selling some other iems and headphones now just cuz theyre gunna start collecting dust soon... the GR07 is in danger of being on that list

Don't sell 07. You'll just end up buying another one later.

I'm about to have my 4th pair.

actually considering trying out the BE to see what that's like... or to see what the new models coming out are like. they sound like theyre coming up with some pretty strange and insane stuff... like a dual driver GR07 essentially rite?

Yep, and a hybrid. The dual GR07 will be in the ASG-2's price range though.

noooo

Yeah, I think the website is just out of date, you should have no problem ordering.  They have US distribution too so it shouldn't take long to ship.

The BE is quite good, but IMO it's a slight variation on the standard edition. It does have a slight boost in the sub bass, but it is rather slight. It was JUST enough for me to trade for the BE.

Shipped from Singapore so it seems the US fulfillment warehouse ran out for now. Who knows if they'll get more. Shipping to US is free but a bit slower now.

I had the BE 1st due to a shipper error and even without hearing the OG or MK2, the bass overshadowed the mids too much for me to enjoy them.

Now that I've owned the MK2s for a few months I can say that I'm more than happy with the bass, especially subbass, but the mids have enough presence to keep me interested.

My biggest issue is fit. I can't seem to wear them for more than 30 min wo/ discomfort. Fwiw, only the ety er6i has been comfy for me...small ear canals and all.

For me they are perfect fit, but different ears I guess. The bass on BE tone down with long burn in.

GR07 mkii is a tank.

One day after I woke up, I noticed my GR07 was gone from my bed since I slept with it. Looked around for hours then noticed it got sucked by Roomba (a robotic vacuum cleaner). So It seemed it felt from my bed and while Roomba was vacuuming, it sucked Gr07 and turned into crazy knots. Miraculously, the phones were still alright (both of the channels still work) but the cable becomes more springy than before :/ anyone knows how to get rid the springiness of the cable?

I want to like Gr07 but the cable does not let me to wear it!

Funny!!! (Is the roomba so quiet you can sleep while it's working?)

About the springness, we are used - with the climbing ropes that can show the same "tangledness" - to suspend them fixing one end in a high place and let it hang in the air so they can move freely e release any tension they contain. You could try the same tecnique: hang it by the mini jack connector and try to let it turn freely for some time. Eventually you could also attach some weight to the other end in order to accentuate the effect.

Hope this helps...
