They sound better and much more textured than the BE's and there is plenty of bass for me I AM SO HAPPY WITH THESE!

How much u want for the BE's? Do you take Digital Hugs as Payment? Maybe a pristine copy of Carl Sagan's The Demon Hauted World with my autograph? A state of the art Stanford ONYX pen?...

Where??? Care to provide a linky cuz i can't find it. :/

Well THEY DID when I ordered mine guess not anymore
If anyone wants to buy my BE's for $150-160 (Purchased em new from amazon 2 weeks ago) + shipping should only be 5 bucks or so Id be fine with that.
They were 179.99 but came without the hard case so I am going to ask for compensation it will most likely be 20 dollars or so I have heard a few pages back.

Send me a PM and we can talk, If these were readily available I would just return them to amazon but I am willing to strike a deal of some sort here because they are notwink_face.gif

The 940 and K550 both have even better mids and treble than the 840 smily_headphones1.gif but not quite as much bass.

Bass is fun, but the mids have to be there for me to enjoy a headphone. The GR07s are burning in nicely. I've noticed less sibilance and more cohesion between the dynamic range. Its really starting to sound "true" and natural.

Every time I listen to this song I hear exactly what you are saying, some of the imaging and water drop sounds get better and better, it just melts away my brain

one question guys: is the cable of the mkII noticeably more flexible than the mk1? my mk1.1 got cable issue near the plug.. frown.gif

I owned these for several months after I struggled with the ie80 on fit/seal. They were pretty darn good after a few days of break in but then got really really good after a couple of weeks of burn in. I have no idea how many hours they were cooked for. I just remember being completely impressed with them. And then....one day I plugged them into my ears not realizing that the volume on the e17 was maxed out and +12 gain. eek.gif It took me a couple of seconds to react and another second of so to yank them out.  Long story short, my ears/hearing have slowly recovered over the past six months. This ringing has subsided considerably and there is not much painful sensitivity anymore.

Well, I guess because of the experience I decided to sell them. Now that I'm about 90% better I decided to order them again. Can't wait really. I miss the convenience of iem's and that wonderful signature of the gr07. biggrin.gif

MK1 should have been recalled because of this. I don't have MK2, but quite a few people say it is more flexible. BTG-Audio can re-cable the GR07s for about 60$ I think.

I heard the bass on the MKIIs were weak and were mainly meant for those who listen to genres that are bass-weak. This is the first and only time I've read about the vanilla 07s being better than the BEs. I've read that the BEs are the same as the MKIIs, without the sibilance, and with bass.

I think that you'll find quite the opposite opinion if you read the last couple pages of this thread.
